Whether you are embarking on a solo trip or a family vacation, make sure you and the people you love are covered abroad in case of an emergency. 

As soon as you leave your province of residence, you are no longer covered under your Provincial Health plan. This means if an emergency were to arise you are vulnerable to extremely high medical bills and expenses.

Group Retirement Plans

A Group Retirement plan or Profit Sharing plan can be of great value to your company. A Group Registered Retirement Saving Plan (GRRSP) can be customized to fit your company's goal in many ways. Another option is to offer a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) for your employees. This type of plan permits the share of business profits with your employees, as well as, immediate vesting. Having a DPSP in place encourages worker productivity to increase business profit.

Health Care Spending Account / Lifestyle Spending Account

Having a Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) for your business or family can help alleviate the cost of Health and Dental expenses. A HCSA turns your after-tax medical expenses into before-tax business expenses. Even if you have a Health insurance plan, you can claim individual health, dental and travel premiums and submit unpaid claim portions to your HCSA.

Another popular choice for engaging your employees is to input a taxable Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA). This type of plan offers coverage for gym memberships, day care, continuing education costs and much more. The options provided to your employee can be customized to your desire. It is important to note that, although still tax-deductible to the employer, the benefits provided under an LSA are taxable to the employee.

Submitting claims to your HCSA or LSA is easier than ever. You can download an app to your mobile device, snap a picture of your claims receipt and submit the photo through the mobile app. 

National Health Claims Canada is the provider of our HCSA and LSA.

PACIFIC BLUE CROSS

Individual EHC & Dental Products

PBC Individual Health and Dental plans help to cover out-of-pocket costs not covered by the government health plan. This type of plan is ideal for people who do not have health benefits through their employer, or are interested in supplementing their existing coverage.

If the health coverage provided by your employer is about to end or has recently ended, PBC has designed a plan called Blue Choice Conversion, which lets you continue health and dental coverage without interruption so you and your family can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing you're protected from the financial hardship of unexpected health costs. Your group plan does not need to have been provided by Blue Cross. Blue Choice Conversion is available for the initial transfer from any recognized Canadian group benefits plan within 60 days as long as you have been covered for at least 6 months under a group plan. And there's no need to complete a medical questionnaire, so there's no need to worry about prescription medications that you're already taking.
